I have decided to change up my days and their topics a little bit. Thursdays are now about YouTube and Vine Video! Saturdays will now be on Instagram and Tumblr. With hosuekeeping out of the way, let’s learn more about the Vine platform for your business marketing strategy.
Vine video clips are making their rounds as the newest art form of social networking. While the Vine videos are hosted on Twitter, they are similar to Instagram. More and more businesses are using the vine.com social network as an innovative and fun marketing technique.
Vine is an app that was launched by Twitter, allowing users to shoot six second long looping videos. The design is simple and easy to use, making an amazing free resource for your marketing campaign. Not only are Vine videos synced with Twitter, you can also share them on all of your social media profiles. There are a few things you need to know about Vine videos in order to implement them successfully.
Use Time Lapse
The beauty, and challenge, of Vine videos is you only have six seconds to transmit a complete message. This is where the time lapse feature comes in handy. You can take time to set up each shot and capture it, allowing the story to flow in a single Vine. This is the perfect tool to brief people on the products and services you offer.
Show Off Your Personality
What is awesome about the six second time limit is it forces you and other brands to strut your stuff. On other platforms, brands have more time to expose who they are. Vine provides an instantaneous impression. This means you have got to be creative and wow people in short six seconds. Brands get to show off their personality in Vines. If your brand has not developed a solid personality yet, this is the method to create one.
Showcase New Product or Content
Instead of writing a press release your customers likely won’t read, why not reach them on an entertaining level and make a Vine video? It is a great platform for marketing a new product or new material. It can be a video teaser that shows off the elements of the new thing. They need to be visually appealing and engaging for people to watch.
Give Your Customers What They Want to See
This can either be related or unrelated to your brand. If you make a Vine that is related to your brand, make sure that it is entertaining and fun without over promoting yourself. If you make a Vine video unrelated to your brand, consider your target audience and what they have an interest in. For example, Dick’s Sporting Goods made a Vine inside the Raven’s locker room for their sport-fanatic customers.
Use Hashtags to Gain Exposure
Hashtags are used to help people (and your business!) sort through content to find posts that are relevant to what they want to see. You should choose a specifically chosen keyword that connects to your brand to use in a hashtag. Over time, people will begin making Vine videos about your brand and include your hashtag on them.
Share and Promote Your Videos
Vine videos are an easy format to share. They can act as a GIF, playing a short video without any sound. Make sure to widen the reach of your brand and your videos by sharing the Vine across multiple social media platforms. Start embedding a Vine video in your blog posts to make them more engaging. Always include a link back to your business website when you share your video.
