Instagram is a great platform that businesses can use to connect with their audience, thanks to its focus on visual content. When you learn how to market your business on Instagram, remember your content needs to focus on creative photos and short messages that the users love to see. If your business has the ability to create compelling visual content, then you should implement Instagram social media marketing in these four additional ways.
You can take pictures of your customers or ask customers to submit pictures with your brand to upload onto your Instagram. This shows a real life look at what an experience with your brand will be like. It is the perfect way for people to see your brand on a personal level, outside of your company’s promotion. Sharing a customer’s experience will improve the connection you have with your audience.
Photo contests are very popular on Instagram. You can set a topic for the contest, such as asking users to find the most innovative way to use your product. Create a hashtag for the contest and tell users to tag their photos with the hashtag so you can find their entries. You can also ask users to vote for their favorites that you feature on your Instagram. You can also do photo campaigns that are not contest-specific. For example, if you sell sporting equipment, have people take photos of themselves at sporting events with the hashtag #liveforsport.
Offer Instagram-Exclusive Promo Codes
To get people to follow you on Instagram and to keep them engaged, you can offer unique promo codes for your followers. Do research on your followers’ demographic and decide what kind of pictures will keep their attention. Reward them with a promo code for looking at your pictures and reading the description. For example, you can post great photos of your products and people using them. In one out of every 15-20 posts, include a promo code hidden in the description. This means your followers need to be active and engaged to get the promo code.
No matter which social media platform you use, you need to be active on it. Instagram takes a lot of creativity to create photo content and consistent posting. If you have a bad visual campaign, then it will hurt your overall marketing strategy because it makes your brand look unprofessional.
