Writer’s Insight #2

Inspiration for me can come from virtually anywhere when I am doing anything. This can vary from going about my daily life just relaxing with my husband to when I am working my shift, and to when I’m drying.

This inspiration can vary as well between original ideas to fanfiction. It comes in a flash and leaves just as fast or it can stick for a number of days until I finally write it down. Writing it down could just be a summary to a fully written out piece or series.

Inspiration can give me this feeling of exhilaration unlike anything else that I’ve ever felt. Even when I was first starting out in 2008, the feeling of inspiration washing over me for something took me to a place that I didn’t think that I was able to go.

Even little things like a song can trigger the inspiration in me.

The best kind of inspiration for me comes when I am simply sitting down and I get into this stream of creative consciousness, then that inspiration sparks an idea inside me or vice versa. Then acting on that inspiration right away gets the writing juices flowing.
