Saturday Study Session - Hope Mikaelson

Dawn brushed her brunette hair off her shoulder as she stared down at the textbook in front of her. Her teeth gently clenched around her inner cheek as her stark blue eyes skimmed the words on the page in attempts of retaining something for her potions making class.

The young female set up a study date with the one and only Hope Mikaelson. Since attending the Salvatore Boarding School for the Young & Gifted, she made quick friends with the tri-brid. Often they would be study buddies for their witch classes together and picked one another for group projects.

Over time, Dawn began to garner a crush on the fellow brunette. She was too scared to admit those feelings to her because Hope had a multitude of suitors in line for her heart. That, and she was afraid to ruin their friendship. The only classmates that knew about the aforementioned crush were Lizzie and Josie Saltzman. One of whom had walked over to her table and gave her a sweet smile.

Josie tapped Dawn's shoulder and took a seat next to her. "So? Are you finally going to tell Hope that you like her? You know that she isn't going to wait forever. You'll feel better if you get it off your chest, Dee." She meant well, truly. Dawn glanced up from her book and rolled her tongue against where she had been biting her cheek, sighing softly carrying a soft subtle smile on her lips.

"I know... I'm just scared that it is going to change everything, Josie. That it might wreck the friendship we have." She admitted and with a gentle thud, she closed the book she'd been reading. She reached up and lightly tangled her finger in her hair, gently twirling it around nervously.

A soft caring look washed over Josie's face as she watched the nervous tick coming from the brunette female next to her. "...Hey, you'll do just fine. I know you can do it. I... have a strong feeling that she likes you too." Josie chose not to mention the origin of her intuition of Hope reciprocating the same feelings that Dawn had for the tri-brid. That she knew only because of the enchanted pens that Penelope made for everyone so she could eavesdrop on them in her spelled notebook which was given to her by her ex before she left.

Dawn's hand dropped to her lap and she studied the look on Josie's face, letting her words sink in for a moment. She nodded her head softly and smiled, glancing down at her lap. "You really think so?" The half-angel half-witch felt conflicted because she didn't want to ruin what she had with Hope, but she refused to be sitting on the sidelines if and when someone else would have the courage to admit their feelings to her and Hope admitting her own for them.

She knew that Landon and her were close from before she had enrolled in the Salvatore Academy and before Landon had attended. He was a good guy and he told her that he had feelings for Hope, but didn't know how to express that to her without her brushing him off because of her own safeguards. It was incredibly hard to listen to that, knowing her own love for Hope, but she did her best to be a good friend to him.

But Hope had her those safeguards... those walls... that she set up to protect herself and her family. After what happened to her, she couldn't blame her. Dawn was sure that she would do the same in that situation. If she told her of her feelings, she would at least know if the Mikaelson female liked her back in the same way. That way she wouldn't be in this situation killing herself over it.

Dawn got so lost in her own thoughts that she saw Josie answer her question after lifting her head for a moment, but hadn't heard it. Nor did she remember when Josie had left and Hope took her place. She broke out of her trance only by Hope shaking her by the shoulder.

"You alright there? You looked a little too lost in your own thoughts, what's going on?" Hope questioned, raising an eyebrow as she observed the female across from her.

Dawn blinked a few times in hopes of composing herself. "Um... Yeah yeah... I'm... fine." She shook her head gently, clearing her throat. Her mind was still a little foggy from her own trance when she looked and registered who was now next to her. "H-Hope?! When did Josie leave? And when did you get here?" Her eyes darted around slightly for any sign of Josie, but found none. After a few moments, she returned her gaze to Hope.

A half-smile curled on Hope's lips and a small chuckle left her slightly parted lips. "I ran into Josie just as I was coming into the library. I just got here so I wasn't waiting long while you were in your little trance. ...What's on your mind that's got you thinking so intently? Is there a boy you have a crush on or something? Like me guess, M.G. or Raph?"

Dawn shook her head slightly, answering her question. "Yes... but no. I do have a crush on someone, but it isn't M.G. or Raph. It's someone else. I was sort of thinking about my crush, but my nerves are horrible. I can't seem to gather my confidence to tell her." It was a few moments before she registered a subconscious clue as to who her crush was... well that fact that that crush was female at the very least.

"Ooh? Her? Is it Josie?" Hope was determined to figure out who this crush was. Though she was a tad scared of finding out the answer to her question. Only for the very reason of her own feelings that had budded for the hybrid over the time of their friendship. If she were being true to herself, she was going to tell Dawn how she felt tonight during their study session. She couldn't stand by any longer. Knowing that Dawn's crush was a female helped because it meant that there was a chance that it was her.

Dawn shook her head again. "No, it isn't Josie. She was just trying to help me gain some confidence to tell my crush how I feel tonight." Her cheeks blushed a deeper red. "We should...uh... get going with our studying since you're here now. I don't think that either one of us wants you to fail this... though you pass everything. It's mostly me that I'm worried about."

Hope turned herself in the chair to face the table and opened up the textbooks. "We can talk about your crush later, after we get some studying done. Besides... I was thinking about telling my crush how I feel tonight too." She turned her head to glance at the female next to her, tucking some hair behind her ear. Her gaze softened and a small smile curled on her lips. Her lips pursed gently together, tempted to kiss her cheek right there to get her plan over with.

There was a small amount of tension between the pair when they began their study session. But it soon dissipated with the help of a few jokes. Low and behold, they had finished studying for their exam and the library was empty besides the two of them.

Dawn closed the textbook in front of her and pushed it away from her on the table. She leaned her head back and ran her fingers across her bangs, brushing them to the side. She closed her eyes for a few moments as she sunk in her chair slightly. "...With your help tonight, I should definitely ace this exam on Monday. I don't think I have a way to repay you." She chuckled softly and opened up her eyes to look over her study partner.

A smile sat on Hope's lips as she got up from the chair to stretch herself after sitting for so long. She looked around at the rest of the library. "Looks like we cleared out the library." She noted before looking over Dawn. "...and you're welcome. I... think I know of a way you can repay me for helping you study." She slyly walked closer to Dawn with a smirk on her lips and placed a hand on her cheek, straightening out her neck.

The tri-brid leaned in and pressed her soft pink lips against the other female's. It was just for a few moments before she pulled away. "I have a crush on you, Dawn Kasson. I have for a while actually. With everything going on, I didn't have a chance to tell you and I--"

Hope was interrupted by Dawn standing up from the chair. A shocked look sat on her face for a few moments as she registered the kiss and the confession. She appeared like she was about to run away, but she cupped Hope's cheeks and brought her into another kiss. This time returning the kiss with the full force of her pent-up feelings of all the times she held herself back.

Dawn wrapped her arms around Hope's neck and Hope wrapped hers around Dawn's waist, closing the distance between them. It was several minutes before either of them pulled away for air. But when they had, they were panting softly.

"...I have a crush on you too... Hope. You're my crush. I was afraid that you wouldn't like me back and that this would all ruin our friendship. Clearly... that isn't the case." Dawn whispered after gaining her breath back. Her fingers played with Hope's brunette locks and she gently bit her lip, licking her bottom lip.

"Clearly." Hope retorted sarcastically with a small giggle, rolling her blue eyes.

"Does this make us--?"

"Yes. You, Dawn Kasson, are my girlfriend and I'm yours." Hope answered with a smile before capturing her new girlfriend's lips in another passion fueled kiss.
